Validation: Constructions

Setting	Description
Use Conceptual Constructions	Used to select constructions from the conceptual modeling constructions catalog to apply to the ASM. When on (default), the Conceptual Constructions table is enabled, and the Building Constructions table is disabled.
Use Building Constructions	Used to select constructions from the active building type constructions catalog to apply to the ASM. When on, the Building Constructions table is enabled, and the Conceptual Constructions table is disabled.
Material Manager	Opens the Materials Manager.
Calculation Standard	Displays the calculation standard selected in the Validation: Energy Settings.
Conceptual Constructions	When on, the constructions used to develop the conceptual ASM can be used for the fully promoted ASM. Surface Type - Lists available conceptual surface types. Construction - Used to select available material constructions from a catalog of available material constructions.
Building Constructions	Building material constructions are mapped from the OpenBuildings Station Designer Part assignment's analytical materials properties. Part Name - Displays OpenBuildings Station Designer Part definitions to be mapped to OpenBuildings Energy Simulator material construction definitions. table rows are grouped by surface type (Exposed wall, Partition, Door, Curtain Wall etc). When part like Curtain Wall is not hosted then "fake" host surface is added on export and entry added in the list. Thickness - Displays the thickness specified in the OpenBuildings Station Designer Part definition. This is used as e reference when mapping to an equivalent OpenBuildings Energy Simulator material construction. Material - Displays mapped material types. Initially, the mappings are highlighted green indicating you can review the mapped type. Clicking in the cell opens a drop down menu listing available material types. The highlighting is turned off after you review the mapping. Construction - Displays mapped constructions. Unmapped constructions are highlighted red indicating you must select a construction to map to. Clicking in the cell opens a drop down menu listing a filtered list of constructions. The highlighting is turned off after you map the construction. Note: Selections made in the Material column determine the available constructions. - Click to automatically select a construction based on the other selections made in the mapping table.
